“I am myself a retired electrical engineer, and I have a great appreciation for well-designed top-quality products. When the pressure switch on our church baptistry failed, and the company that made the baptistry was no longer in business, I searched high and low for a suitable replacement pressure switch. Apparently the OEM had also faced this problem when they built the baptistry, as the original pressure switch never did work well. I determined the specs that would be needed, and contacted a large manufacturer of pressure switches which had advertised on their website that their aim was to provide, "... a product tailored to your needs without the high price and long lead times associated with custom manufacturing", I found out this was targeted at OEM's and not at someone who just needed a single replacement item. Finally, I found the Whitman website and was immediately impressed with the look of quality I saw in the photos of their pressure switches. I sent off an email to them with my requirements, and they replied quickly with their product code and ordering instructions. The price was more than I am used to paying for a replacement pressure switch; but I figure you get what you pay for, and I was willing to pay more for something that would work properly over a long period of time. I soon had the replacement pressure switch, which was preset very close to the pressure I had specified, so only a minor tweak was required in the field to make things perfect. The pressure switch Whitman provided truly exceeded my expectations and was a great value.”
